The recently refurbished Viewfield House has been in the same family since it was built in the 1800s with a history of being let out from at least the turn of the 20th Century.  After an absence of 25 years when it last provided B&B services, it is available again for weekly lets or short breaks.

 

The house is ideal for families or groups of adults who like the excellent outdoor lifestyle offered in and around Comrie, but who appreciate luxury home comforts when returning from the local hills, lochs, footpaths, fishing & golf courses.  

 

There are local walks on your doorstep to suit all levels of experience & ability including the Munros Ben Vorlich, Stuc a Chroin and Ben Chonzie. We provide detailed local knowledge to help you enjoy the best of them.  The local back roads are perfect for cycling while the keen cyclist will relish being located so near to the routes around Loch Earn, Loch Tay & the Sma’ Glen.  For golfers, there are some 40 courses in Perthshire - and not just the famous Gleneagles courses.  Two 9-hole local jewels are St Fillans and Comrie, neither of which should be missed.

 

Located in the very centre of Scotland on the A85 between Perth & Crianlarich, Comrie is also an ideal base for drives into Perthshire, Stirlingshire, Loch Lomond, The Trossachs and beyond.  The village itself offers a wide selection of local amenities including convenience stores, butcher, baker, newsagents, quality pubs, restaurants, cafes and a delicatessen.  

 

A riot of colour in summer, Comrie is a regular contender for the annual national Village in Bloom competition, and has an excellent tradition of laying on a range of festivities during the Comrie Fortnight in July/August and at Hogmanay (New Year’s Eve), particularly with the flambeaux procession.  All of this is just a short walk away from Viewfield House.
